Southport FC Community Foundation: Engaging and Empowering the Community This November

As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, the Southport FC Community Foundation is busier than ever, bringing together people of all ages and abilities to foster a sense of belonging, well-being, and empowerment through sports and community activities. This November, we’re excited to share a host of programs that have become cornerstones of our mission to support and uplift our community.

Weekly Walking Club and Coffee Morning

Every Wednesday, our Walking Club and Coffee Morning continues to gather members for a refreshing morning walk followed by a warm cup of coffee. This initiative isn’t just about physical fitness—it’s an opportunity for people to connect, make new friends, and enjoy a bit of nature in good company. The Walking Club has become a cherished event for many, providing a weekly chance to engage with others in a relaxed, friendly setting.

Matchday Mascot Experiences

Matchday excitement wouldn’t be the same without our wonderful mascots! Each home game, we invite children to join us as mascots, giving them a chance to experience the thrill of matchday up close. They walk out onto the pitch with their favorite players and feel the vibrant atmosphere that makes supporting Southport FC so special. This program has been a joy for the kids, their families, and our club as we inspire the next generation of fans and players alike.

New Inclusive Football Hub

We’re thrilled to announce a new initiative launching soon: the Inclusive Football Hub. Designed to provide a supportive and accessible environment for individuals who may face challenges with confidence or disabilities, the Inclusive Hub will be a space where everyone can come together to enjoy football in a non-competitive, welcoming atmosphere. This hub aims to make the sport accessible to all, encouraging participants to build confidence, develop skills, and foster friendships. Our goal is to make sure that everyone who wants to experience the joy of football has a place to play, regardless of their circumstances.

Powerchair Football: Every Thursday

The Community Foundation also proudly supports Powerchair Football, which is held every Thursday. Powerchair Football allows wheelchair users to experience the excitement and competition of football in a fully inclusive way. This adaptive form of the game has quickly become a favorite for participants and spectators alike, providing a fantastic opportunity for players to stay active, work as a team, and show off their skills on the pitch.

As we continue to develop our programs and expand our reach, the Southport FC Community Foundation remains dedicated to building a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone in our community. This November and beyond, we’re excited to see these initiatives grow, and we welcome anyone who’d like to get involved—whether you’re looking for a fun activity, new friends, or simply a chance to support our local team.

Thank you for being a part of our journey as we create a vibrant community united by the love of football and friendship!
